Join us on Thursday, May 9 at 1:30 pm for our next TFL 101 event:

Holly Johnsen shows us how to create, embellish, and bind a simple pocket journal using paper items & recycled materials. You’ll be able to chronicle your memories, stories, & feelings–or a special adventure! Please bring your old maps, wallpaper, stationery, ticket stubs, photos–even junk mail–and your creativity! It’s sure to be a fun time!

About the TFL 101 Series: These monthly programs are lively, informative, interactive demonstrations from the practical to the creative. Pick up some basic how-to’s, then learn & explore on your own. Or, just satisfy your curiosity & have fun.

Attention Dr. Seuss fans: join us at the library on Friday, April 19 at 2 pm to celebrate your love of Dr. Seuss and get excited about SOCP Kids upcoming production of “Seussical Jr.” (a fantastical musical extravaganza directed by Bobby Keniston), which will be playing May 3-May 12 at Center Theatre.

Come play games and make crafts, and wear a Seuss-themed costume for a chance to win a set of Dr. Seuss books  donated by Center Theatre.

What a great way to commemorate Earth Day by designing your own seed bombs. Have fun and contribute to the beauty and health of our planet. Join Carole Boothroyd of PCDC Education & Outreach on Thursday, April 18 at 2 pm for this mother nature-friendly project. We will make native wildflower seed bombs to look like globes with construction paper and bee & butterfly-friendly flower seeds. Ms. Michelle will also read a book on pollinators and friends.

Creative Kids Art Time begins on Wednesday, November 7!

This new after-school program will meet the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month from 3:30-4:30 pm. The library will provide materials for creative art exploration, for children ages two and up.
