Join a Study about Climate Change

Join in the conversation about how Mainers think about climate change and other major social changes. Every perspective and every level of knowledge is welcome and helpful!

Researchers from the University of Maine at Augusta are partnering with libraries across the state to conduct a project called “Change: Exploring Mental Models of Climate and Social Changes.”

The purpose of the project is to gather information about how regular people think about climate change and other social changes. The project will use focus groups and photography to explore the many ways Mainers view current issues, and will create community events and publications aimed to increase dialogue.

The researchers will conduct two focus groups at the Thompson Free Library on Tuesday, Oct 15 and Tuesday, Oct 22 from 5-7 pm. Participants will take photographs between the two focus groups, which will be used for a community showcase event and free community publications about the project findings.
